Brazil VS Argentina (Wednesday 3rd July, 10:30AM AEST)
After defeating Venezuela 2-0 in the quarter-finals, Argentina will be looking
to book a place in their third successive Copa America final as they face an
undefeated Brazil, whom beat Paraguay in a penalty shootout to progress into
A dominant performance from Argentina will fill them with confidence against
the heavy favourites when they meet on Wednesday at the Mineirão. Brazil will
be wanting to show a much more lethal showing against La Albiceleste compared
to their performance VS Paraguay.
Brazil are yet to concede a goal this tournament and I believe they will
progress to the final with this stat still in tact. Liverpool and Brazil shot-
stopper Alisson Becker has kept eight straight clean sheets for club and
country, and arguably in the form of his life, making a crucial save in the
shootout VS Paraguay.
While the Lionel Messi factor is something to always consider, I believe this
Brazil team will be too much to handle for Argentina and will cruise home
comfortably to a home Copa America final.
Final score: Brazil 2-0 Argentina
