After some major movement in the Italian transfer market, we look through some of the
players who have joined and left the Serie A’s top teams
Juventus – Ins
- Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal (free)
- Adrien Rabiot from PSG (free)
- Luca Pellegrini from Roma (22 million euro)
- Gianluigi Buffon from PSG (free)
- Merih Demiral from Sassuolo (16.2 million euro)
Juventus – Outs
- Spinazzola to Roma (29.5 million euro)
- Sturaro to Genoa (14.85 million euro)
- Orsolini to Bologna (13.5 million euro)
- Cerri to Cagliari (8.1 million euro)
- Marrone to Verona (undisclosed)
Juventus have tried to take the next step towards European glory by heavily revamping
their midfield for basically nothing. The inclusion of Ramsey, Rabiot and Pellegrini will
provide Juventus with everything they’ve been missing. Along with Cristiano Ronaldo, Juve
will surely be one of the favourites to bring the European Cup to Turin.
Napoli – Ins
- Kostas Manolas from Roma (32.4 million euro)
- Giovanni Di Lorenzo from Empoli (8.5 million euro)
- David Ospina from Arsenal (3.5 million euro)
Napoli – Outs
- Diawara to Roma (18.9 million euro)
While the loss of Diawara was a questionable one, the gain of Kostas Manolas (arguable one of
the best defenders in Italy and Europe) is incredible. Napoli now have one of the best centre-
back partnerships in Europe in Manolas and Koulibaly with new signing Di Lorenzo as an
attacking fullback. Ospina spent the last season at Napoli on loan from Arsenal where he quickly earned the #1 position.
Other major signings:
- Theo Hernandez to AC Milan from Real Madrid (18 million euro)
- Diego Godin to Inter Milan from A.Madrid (free)
- Luis Muriel to Atalanta from Sevilla (13.5 million euro)
