WSL: Lions hit a high five from Laura Davis

Davis finishes her penalty past Ameila Vanderniet

Kingborough Lions stormed to an impressive 5-0 win over Clarence United at Wentworth Park in the WSL TAS. Lion’s Laura Davis was the star of the day netting another four goals to take her overall tally to 13 for the season.

Davis placed home her first from the penalty spot into the bottom right corner past Amelia Vandernietโ€™s reach.

Zoe Horgan made it two penalties from two for the away side.

There were more woes for Clarence when Jess Downham went down after a nasty knock and had to be stretched off the pitch before the half time break.

Davis completed her brace from a tight angle. Her shot rebounded off the right post which had enough power to ultimately cross the line.

Substitute Amy Ollington sent in the assist for Davies to confirm her hat-trick.

Davis found herself one on one shortly with the keeper when she placed her shot home.
