Strikers’ Jack Dance was stretchered off in the second half which was later confirmed to be a broken leg. We wish him the best in recovery.
South Hobart FC overcame a 2-1 deficit to stage a 3 goal comeback win over Launceston United.
Southern Championship outfit UTAS Soccer Club knocked out NPL TAS’s Riverside Olympic in a big upset. University’s Sam Platt scored two goals in quick succession to lead the charge.
Kingborough Lions shocked their supports and neutrals alike defeating Clarence Zebras by a four goal margin. Quite remarkable from the Caledonians. (match report to follow)
Olympia FC Warriors defeated SC outfit Beachside by nine goals. Warriors’ Benjamin Hamlett lead the charge scoring four goals.
Glenorchy Knights cruised to a 5 goal win over Northern Rangers. Former South Hobart man Alex Walter scored a hat trick, in what already appears to be some great transfer business by Croatia-Glenorchy.
Women’s Statewide Cup
Kingborough Lions stormed to a 7 to nil victory away from home over Somerset Sharks.
Riverside came back from 2 goals down to defeat Metro FC 5-3. Meg Connoly (Riverside) led the way with four goals.
Northern Rangers downed fellow northern side Launceston City by four goals.
Statewide Under 20โs Cup
Kingborough held off a valiant Northern Rangers outfit 2-1 in the only extra time needed game.
Glenorchy Knights ? scored the only goal of the game in the 119th minute defeating City 1-0 with a free kick to boot.
