Rockdale City Suns and APIA Leichhardt Tigers played out an exciting 1-1 draw in Round 3 of NPL NSW at Ilinden Sports Centre. It was Champions vs Premiers in the first round of the Westfield W-League with Sydney FC hosting Melbourne Victory at Kogarah. A great day for the home fans as Sydney FC collected all 3 points over their bitter rivals with a 3-0 win.
Sydney return to the winners list
The Sky Blues returned to Leichhardt this week to take on Newcastle Jets in a much needed win after a disappointing derby loss to the Wanderers. The Sky Blue faithful were hurting after last week’s result and anything less than three points would be a major blow to the season.
